No one thinks they can become a victim of a fraud or scam until it happens to them–and even the best of the best sometimes slips. No matter how educated we are, it’s still possible to fall victim to a scam.
Here are some tips on what to do if you become victim to these cyberthreats: – Immediately change all your passwords in your online account and delete any malicious software you may have downloaded – If you think you have provided your account details to a scammer, contact your bank or financial institution IMMEDIATELY.
You can also reach out to different government offices working with anti-cybercrime authorities and other relevant law enforcement agencies to track down and prosecute those behind such cybercriminal activities/ schemes.
