What Does Home Protection Cover?
The Home Protection Plan covers home structure, as well as all eligible products inside your home, whether they are purchased via Home Credit or not. This premium plan provides up to ₱50,000 of coverage for your home in case of damage or loss due to natural disasters or robbery.

You can file a claim if the physical framework and essential components of your house are damaged. This includes, but is not limited to:

Coverage for your Belongings
The list of items that you can declare under Home Protection coverage includes, but is not limited to, the following:

*An emergency refers to a sudden and unforeseen incident that poses an immediate health risk to you or others, or it creates a potential risk of additional loss or damage to your home and belongings.

Extra Coverage in case of fire
On top of the P50,000 coverage against damages on your belongings, you may also claim the following in case of fire:

Up to 25,000 reimbursement of fire fighting expense in case a private company was hired to close out the fire

Up to P25,000 coverage for temporarily removed items against loss, damage, or theft while they are in transit or stored in another location for a short period.

Please note that claim request approval varies from case to case based on the assessment of the service provider. Coverage will be automatically terminated once the coverage limit is exhausted.

What to do when something happens?
Simply notify the service provider. To file a service request, follow these 4 easy steps!
Get in touch with your provider as soon as practicable after the loss incident. Please be ready with your Home Credit Loan Account number during the notification process.
You can check who your provider is through any of the following:
- View your Home Protection details on My Home Credit App.
- Find the e-mail from Home Credit sent immediately after purchase and open the Certificate of Coverage document.
- Call Home Credit Customer Service Hotline at (02) 7753 5711 (Globe) or (02) 8424 6611 (PLDT).

Please prepare and collate the following documents to process your claim. Ensure that your Home Credit Loan Account (also referred to as the policy number) is ready for validation when you send these documents to your respective provider.

The service provider will provide a claims decision usually within 7 working days after submission of all required documents.
Once your claim is approved, they will send you a service resolution offer which will indicate the applicable coverage amount for the damage/case. If you agree with the amount, you may respond to the Claims Team to proceed with the claim payment.
In case you do not agree with the coverage amount offered or your claim is rejected, you may request for the Claims Team to assess the case further. Please note that they may request additional information and documentation to reprocess your claim.
Your service provider will process your claims payment within 10 working days after your confirmation of their offer. You can receive up to ₱50,000 worth of assistance to repair or replace damaged home structures or belongings.
How can I cancel the Protection?
You can cancel the coverage anytime within the loan period by calling Home Credit Customer Service number, (02) 7753 5711.
However, please be advised that if you cancel 5 days or less before the due date, the home protection cost will still be included in your upcoming monthly payment bill and will be removed starting on the next due date.
