What Does Home Protection Cover?
The Home Protection Plan covers home structure, as well as all eligible products inside your home, whether they are purchased via Home Credit or not. This premium plan provides up to ₱50,000 of coverage for your home in case of damage or loss due to natural disasters or robbery.

Coverage to your Home Structure
You can file a claim if the physical framework and essential components of your house are damaged. This includes, but is not limited to:

Coverage for your Belongings
The list of items that you can declare under Home Protection coverage includes, but is not limited to, the following:

Furniture such as sofa, cabinets, tables, bed

*An emergency refers to a sudden and unforeseen incident that poses an immediate health risk to you or others, or it creates a potential risk of additional loss or damage to your home and belongings.

Extra Coverage in case of fire
On top of the P50,000 coverage against damages on your belongings, you may also claim the following in case of fire:

Up to 25,000 reimbursement of fire fighting expense in case a private company was hired to close out the fire

Up to P25,000 coverage for temporarily removed items against loss, damage, or theft while they are in transit or stored in another location for a short period.

Please note that claim request approval varies from case to case based on the assessment of the service provider. Coverage will be automatically terminated once the coverage limit is exhausted.

Confirm who your Home Protection provider is by checking your Certificate of Coverage.
Contact them immediately after the incident. Have your Home Credit Loan Account Number ready.

1. Claims Decision: The service provider will decide on your claim within 7 working days after receiving all required documents.
2. Approval: If approved, you'll receive a service resolution offer indicating the coverage amount. If you agree with the amount, respond to them to proceed with the claim payment.
3. Disagreement or Rejection: If you disagree with the amount or your claim is rejected, you may request further assessment. Please note that additional information or documentation may be requested from you.
After you confirm the offer, your service provider will process the payment within 10 working days. You can receive up to ₱50,000 worth of assistance to repair or replace damaged home structures or belongings.
How can I cancel the Protection?
You can cancel the coverage by calling Home Credit Customer Service at (02) 7753 5711. The cancellation effectivity depends on when you make the request:
Cancellation within 15 days after signed date
The Home Protection cost will still be included in your next installment, and coverage will end on your upcoming due date. From the following month, the cost will no longer be included in your installments.
Cancellation beyond 15 days after signed date
The cost of the Home Protection will still be included in your next monthly installment, and the coverage will end on your upcoming due date. Starting the following month, the cost of the Home Protection will no longer be included in your installments.
