    1. 2-Year Device Protection 

    • Coverage: 2 years for accidental or liquid damage plus 1 year of extended manufacturer warranty. 
    • Ideal for: High-value devices and users who want full peace-of-mind for the long haul. 
    • Cost: As low as ₱3.08 per day (spread across your monthly installments)  

     

    2. 1-Year Device Protection 

    • Coverage: 1 year for accidental or liquid damage and 1 year of extended warranty. 
    • Ideal for: Short-term coverage needs—perfect for newer but still valuable gadgets. 
    • Cost: Around the same low daily rate, adjusted by device price  

     

    3. Extended Warranty Only 

    • Coverage: Adds just an extra year of warranty coverage after the manufacturer’s warranty ends—no accidental damage included. 
    • Ideal for: Users who want protection against mechanical failures but are careful with their device. 
    • Cost: Lowest of the three, budget-friendly daily rate included in your installment

    When you buy a home appliance (like a fridge, TV, washing machine, or aircon) through Home Credit, you can add Appliance Protection to your installment or loan.

    This plan helps cover those kinds of accidents, so you don’t have to worry about paying for repairs out of pocket. 

     

    2. Adds an Extra Year to Your Warranty 

    Most appliances come with a 1-year manufacturer’s warranty, which only covers certain types of issues. After that year is up, you’re usually on your own.  

    With this plan, you get one more year of protection, giving you up to 2 years of total coverage for malfunctions or defects—even if they happen after the original warranty ends.

    Available Appliance Protection Plans

    Home Credit lets you choose from three easy-to-understand protection options when you buy appliances with your loan.  

    You can view and manage your plan conveniently in the Home Credit App, and you'll receive all the details via email after you sign up.  

    1. 2-Year Appliance Protection 

    • Duration: 

    2 years of accidental damage & liquid spill coverage (ADLD). 

    1 extra year of extended warranty (EW) after the manufacturer’s warranty ends. 

    • Cost: Starts at around ₱3.33 per day, added to your monthly installments  
    • Best for: Those who want long-term peace of mind—especially for more expensive items like refrigerators, washing machines, or TVs. 

     

    2. 1-Year Appliance Protection 

    • Duration: 

    1 year of ADLD coverage, plus 

    1 year of EW after factory warranty expires. 

    • Cost: Approximately ₱5.82 per day, built into your installments  
    • Ideal for: Buyers who want full coverage for the first two years but don’t need long-term protections. 

     

    3. Extended Warranty Only (EW) 

    • Duration: 1 year of EW coverage ONLY—after the manufacturer's warranty ends. 
    • Cost: About ₱4.93 per day, included in your monthly loan payment  
    • Perfect for: Items that are less likely to get accidentally damaged (e.g., stand-alone audio systems or less fragile appliances). 

     

    What’s NOT Covered by the Device and Appliance Protection Plan?

    While Home Credit’s Device Protection offers solid coverage for mishaps, there are some situations where it won’t apply. Here's a helpful breakdown:  

    1. Intentional or Abusive Damage 

    • Damage caused on purpose (e.g., throwing your phone) 
    • Damage from reckless or unsafe use (e.g., device falling off your motorbike while texting) 

     

    2. Loss or Theft 

    • Lost or stolen devices aren’t covered—only physical damage is included 

     

    3. Misuse or Unauthorized Changes 

    • Damage from illegal use or misuse (e.g., overload, experimenting, intentionally misconfiguring) 
    • Any breakdown after tampering, unauthorized repairs, or opening the device 

     

    4. Mechanical Wear & Software Issues 

    • Regular wear and tear, battery degradation, cosmetic flaws (scratches, dents) 
    • Software problems—not covered unless caused by manufacturing defect 
    • Data loss, SIM or memory card issues 

     

    5. Excluded Costs & Parts 

    • Reimbursement for third-party repair costs not approved by the plan 
    • Replacement of accessories (chargers, headphones, cases, batteries, consumables) 
    • Any expenses already covered by manufacturer recall or warranty 

     

    6. Fraud or Unverifiable Claims 

    • Claims flagged as fraudulent or deceptive 
    • Defects under manufacturer recall and breakdowns already covered during the original warranty 

     

    All These for as Low as ₱3 a Day!
