To improve Filipinos lives and the Filipino way of life, Home Credit Philippines (HCPH), the country’s leading consumer finance company, and EMCOR, one of the country's most trusted retailers of quality goods, have formed a partnership to finance motorcycles!
This partnership launched at Unlock New Adventures held last August 14, 2024, at the JVR Building, J.P. Laurel Ave., Bajada in Davao City. In attendance were EMCOR President and Chief Operations Officer Nelson Apararejo, EMCOR Senior Vice President of Store Operations Alconrey Questo, HCPH Chief Sales Officer Puneet Suneja, and HCPH Chief Marketing Officer Shiela Paul.
In his opening message, EMCOR Senior Vice President of Store Operations Alconrey Questo had this to say on the partnership:
"After years of waiting, Home Credit joins the institution that finances motorcycles in the Philippines, and it is truly EMCOR's honor and privilege to be chosen by Home Credit among the many motorcycle dealers to be their partner in motorcycle financing. This project will [excite] new and repeat customers of EMCOR in Metro Davao."
HCPH Chief Sales Officer Puneet Suneja commends the partnership and views it as a benefit to all Filipinos:
"We're glad to announce, after working through this for some time, [that] we are finally opening our doors to financing motorcycles through Home Credit," he said. "...We've always been proud of the fact that we’ve brought speedy and [convenient] financial services to our customers."
Mr. Suneja believes that HCPH and EMCOR's partnership will open new opportunities for Filipinos. As motorcycles have taken on a larger role in the lives of Filipinos (i.e., transportation and business opportunities), HCPH and EMCOR have come together to make motorcycles more accessible through innovative financing solutions at affordable rates for all Filipinos.
"We saw a gap when it comes to motorcycle financing," he said in the press conference. "We want to bring the same speed and convenience to motorcycle financing with our 5% monthly amortization."
Recognizing the importance of motorcycles in today’s world, HCPH is committed to enhancing the quality of life for its consumers. As a trusted provider of lending and consumer finance across Europe and Asia, HCPH now offers flexible and accessible financing options for motorcycle purchases. This initiative aligns with the company’s goal of supporting its customers in accessing new employment and business opportunities. The financing of motorcycles, therefore, represents a significant step towards fulfilling HCPH’s mission of improving lives.
In the same press conference, EMCOR President and Chief Operations Officer Nelson Aparejo stands by the competitive and affordable monthly amortization and posits that Davao is just the start. More opportunities will soon be available in other parts of the country.
"We will roll out this program with Home Credit first in our Metro Davao stores," he said. "[After] we get momentum and [address] some birth pains, then we will [do the same for] all the stores of EMCOR throughout Visayas, Mindanao, and Palawan."
When asked about the availability of units, Mr. Aparejo assures consumers that quality and quantity will be prioritized.
"Together with our partner motorcycle dealers, we will do our very best to provide the motorcycle units that Home Credit customers will buy," he said. "Even with the prevailing shortage on some critical models at the moment, we assure Home Credit [that this will be a] fruitful success."
Mr. Suneja also teased that HCPH will soon finance three wheels but no dates have been revealed yet.
This partnership underscores the shared objectives of both brands: delivering quality products and expanding consumer choices. Both HCPH and EMCOR offer exceptional consumer and partnership opportunities through accessible financial services, particularly for those with limited access to traditional banking options throughout the nation. This partnership exemplifies their mutual commitment to enhancing opportunities and development across the country.
